Former LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels doesn't appear to be enthused about potentially getting selected by the Washington Commanders in the 2024 NFL draft.

ESPN's Adam Schefter said that Daniels has had "an interest in being other places" outside of Washington during a Friday appearance on The Pat McAfee Show.

"It has been tracking for Jayden Daniels to go at number two..<br><br>It feels like Jayden Daniels has an interest in being other places..<br><br>We'll see what the Washington Commanders do with that information" ~ <a href="https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@AdamSchefter</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/PMSLive?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#PMSLive</a> <a href="https://t.co/6pVLDVMIHO">https://t.co/6pVLDVMIHO</a> <a href="https://t.co/U7nijL0ZQw">pic.twitter.com/U7nijL0ZQw</a>

The Commanders own the No. 2 overall pick in the draft and could select a quarterback after trading former starting signal-caller Sam Howell to the Seattle Seahawks in the offseason.

Schefter also reported that Daniels' pre-draft visit with Washington including other quarterbacks "didn't seem to go over too well with his agent" and could have caused some division between the two sides.

ESPN's John Keim revealed that Washington hosted four quarterbacks at the same time on Tuesday and Wednesday. This included Daniels, North Carolina's Drake Maye, Washington's Michael Penix Jr. and Michigan's J.J. McCarthy.

Daniels' agent liked a pair of posts on X that criticized the Commanders' decision to bring in all four prospects at the same time rather than evaluating each one individually (h/t Bryan Manning of USA Today).

The 23-year-old is coming off an incredible senior season at LSU that culminated in a Heisman Trophy. Daniels completed 72.2 percent of his passes for 3,812 yards and 40 touchdowns, adding another 1,134 yards on the ground while finding the end zone 10 more times as a runner.

B/R NFL Scout Derrik Klassen was impressed with Daniels' pocket presence to go along with his tremendous athleticism in his scouting report.

"Overall, Daniels has an exciting floor as a prospect," Klassen wrote. "He is a veteran-like presence in the pocket, and he's far and away the best athlete in the class at the position. Daniels' average arm talent and inconsistent accuracy may limit his ceiling, but it's hard to imagine him totally flaming out."

Daniels should hear his name called early when the draft begins on April 25, although his reported preference to avoid Washington may cause him to slip past the No. 2 pick.
