Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce had jokes for President Joe Biden during the team's visit to the White House on Friday.

As Biden addressed the crowd, he joked that he feared what Kelce would say if he invited him to the podium, but proceeded to call him up anyway.

"I'd have Travis come up here, but God only knows what he'll say," Biden said. "Travis, come here."

When he got to the podium, Kelce joked that he couldn't get too close to the president out of fear he would "get tased."

"My fellow Americans, it's nice to see you all yet again," Kelce said. "I'm not going to lie, President Biden, they told me if I came up here, I'd get tased, so I'm going to go back to my spot."

Kelce's brother, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, loved his brother's appearance at the podium:

Man, Im not gonna lie, that was tight. Well done <a href="https://twitter.com/tkelce?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@tkelce</a>, doesn't get much cooler than that! <a href="https://t.co/v5dDsanrpS">https://t.co/v5dDsanrpS</a>

Kelce's stage presence has been prime entertainment for NFL fans over the past few seasons, making the Beastie Boys' song "Fight for Your Right" his catchphrase during the Chiefs' Super Bowl run this year.

Kelce kept it a little more professional on Friday as he stood next to Biden, but he still had some room for at least one joke when given the microphone.

The veteran tight end is coming off a 2023 season that saw him collect 984 receiving yards and five touchdowns during the regular season. He then had 355 receiving yards and three touchdowns in the postseason, including a 93-yard performance to help the Chiefs get past the San Francisco 49ers for a second consecutive Super Bowl.

Kelce and Kansas City will look to make NFL history this season by winning an unprecedented third consecutive Super Bowl. If the Chiefs can bring home another championship, it will mean more opportunities for Kelce to display his unwavering stage presence.
