Harry Potter fans waging war on print copies used to only be able to purchase their digital eBooks from one place. On Thursday, however, Apple announced that an Enhanced Version of all seven books in the series would be made exclusively available to download from their iBooks online store. Before today, eBooks of the series could only be purchased through Rowling's Pottermore website. The "magical books" will feature new artwork, interactive animations, and sporadic annotations from author J.K Rowling.

"I'm thrilled to see the Harry Potter books so beautifully realized on iBooks for the digital world," Rowling said in an Apple press release, "the artwork and animations in these enhanced editions bring the stories alive in a delightful new way."

Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, said he was delighted to finally be able to bring the books to Apple users, and added that devices like the iPad and and iPhone were perfect for reading.

"Harry Potter fans are going to love how their favorite stories come to life," he said in the press release. The Harry Potter Enhanced Editions are available on the store right now for $9.99 in 32 different countries. Pre-orders can also be made today for French, Spanish, and German versions of the series, which will be made available on Nov. 9 in 18 additional countries.
