Molly Rainford keeps the hits coming with latest single 'Forever and a Day'

August 2024 · 2 minute read

Her fourth track in under a year, up-and-coming R&B youngster Molly Rainford today debuts ‘Forever and a Day’.

Coming from another studio session with Ebeneezer, the playful flick sees Rainford switch up her sound once again. With a soaring chorus and laidback production, it’s got all the hallmarks of a summer hit.

Leaning more towards the sound of debut single ‘I Like You’, which has already passed 500,000 streams on Spotify alone and features on CelebMix’s 21 Songs by Under-21s, ‘Forever and a Day’ sees Molly Rainford play with a more pop-infused sound. Swaying from contemporary R&B to pop gold track after track, the former Britain’s Got Talent star names the likes of Billie Eilish, Rosalía and Destiny’s Child as influences in the studio.

Rainford spoke to Clash Magazine about the release: “I adore this song so much. I love how it’s romantic but also a little cheeky. I also love it because it reminds me of the session I had writing it, before we had the ‘Forever and a Day’ lyric/concept we just sang ‘now we need a big chorus’ lol!”

The fourth stellar release from the singer moving in the same circles as HRVY and Bars and Melody, it’s been a special rise over the past eight months. Teasing her first headline show at the end of the year when chatting with CelebMix last month, Molly Rainford is well on the way to taking her fresh-faced sound into the big time.

‘Forever and a Day’ is streaming now. Let us know your thoughts @CelebMix on Twitter!
