Ondi Timoner is one of the most popular and richest Film Director who was born on December 6, 1972 in Miami, Florida, United States. Subsequently, she filmed Reflections on a Moment: The Sixties and the Nineties which explored her generation’s nostalgic for the 1960s as well as The Purple Horizon, a 60-minute documentary that focuses on the March on Washington to support Lesbian, Gay and Bi Equal Rights and Liberation. As a senior in college, she would often make films to avoid taking an exam for a final. In the film she made, Voices From Inside Time she filmed interviews with women prisoners, which eventually led the filmmaker towards Bonnie Jean Foreshaw, the basis of her debut full-length film The Nature Of The Beast. The film would later be awarded the Howard Lamar Film Prize for the Best Undergraduate film in the University of Yale University.

Her debut feature film, The Nature Of The Beast (1994) was based around the story of Bonnie Jean Foreshaw (a woman who is serving the longest sentence in prison for the entire state of Connecticut for allegedly killing pregnant women while defending herself against a male) to shed light on the racial and systemic flaws that exist in the justice system. The film was produced by a cameraman for a news channel, however later afterward, Timoner expressed an interest in making her own films.

In 1999, Ondi was Grammy-nominated for Best Long Form Music Video for an EPK she directed about the band Fastball.

Timoner created, executive produced and directed the VH1 original series SOUND AFFECTS (2000), about music’s effect at critical moments in people’s lives.
